Our amplifier is engineered for high fidelity and reliability with a straightforward circuit design. It utilizes current production tubes like EL34 and ECC803S, avoiding NOS components for better changeability and using over-specified passive elements to ensure durability.
Key design aspects include:
Locally Produced Magnetics: All power transformers (PT) and output transformers (OPT) are sourced from high-quality local manufacturers in order to control quality and versatility in specifications.
Tube Compatibility: The design supports various tube types, including 6L6, EL34, 6550, KT88, KT90, and KT120, with only minor adjustments to passive components needed (no changes to OPT or PT required).
Operational Modes: The amplifier allows for no Negative Feedback (NFB), no Ultra Linear (UL), or Triode mode operation.
Enhanced Reliability: Features additional circuitry such as a delay for high tension (HT) voltage to prevent damage at power-up and power filter capacitor discharge at shutdown. Silicon rectifiers are used in place of unreliable diode tubes.
Operating Conditions: Designed to function with mains voltage of 110-120V/60Hz or 220-240V/50Hz.
Mechanical Design: The chassis is visually appealing, made from modern materials, with minimal controls and switches for a clean aesthetic.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Extensive testing is conducted for sound quality and overall performance, with test figures recorded. The amplifier is evaluated using a preamplifier that includes DAC and Bluetooth, and tested with flat input signals, devoid of bass, treble, or loudness adjustments. Testing is performed with CD and FLAC formats only.
